SheepMedical,SheepMedical Co., Ltd. ("SheepMedical" or the "Company"), a medical technology company driving the digital transformation of orthodontics and preventative care, received a Sustainable Development Goal (“SDG”) promotional loan from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to further the Company’s SDGs efforts throughout its core business model.

The Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, in coordination with the Japan Research Institute Co.,Ltd., executed the SDGs promotional loan following the review and confirmation of SheepMedical’s corporate SDGs efforts. The business evaluation includes expected contributions in alignment with the SDGs and concluded SheepMedical’s current practices identified with SDG Goal 3 and Goal 9.

1. Manufacturing of orthodontic aligners

SheepMedical offers high-quality dental technology, advanced manufacturing of aligners, and employee training programs. Throughout local bases in Asia, the Company manufactures its orthodontic mouthpieces with cutting-edge accuracy while providing extensive research-based training to employees. SheepMedical employees at the Vietnam and Philippines subsidiaries are trained by exercising Japan’s dental technician expertise and orthodontic manufacturing policies. To strengthen its business presence in Asian countries and improve the quality advancement of orthodontic and medical technology, SheepMedical plans to increase aligner production and further training standards.

2. Internal health and intestinal bacteria testing

SheepMedical actively contributes to the improvement of global health through the development of preventative healthcare products. Operating under a preventative care model SheepMedical develops effective intestinal bacteria testing and customized dietary supplements. SheepMedical’s research suggests increased use of intestinal supplements lowers obesity rates and prevents lifestyle-related diseases like diabetes.
